Christ The Redeemer - Elected one of the seven wonders of the modern world, in July of 2007, Christ the Redeemer is one of the most visited tourist spots in Rio de Janeiro and Brazil. The monument was inaugurated in August of 1931, and it is the biggest reproduction of the Christ in a major statue in the Art Deco style of the world. Measuring 39 meters high, it is located on the top of Corcovado hill at 710 meters high from the sea level, providing one of the most beautiful panoramic landscapes of the Rio de Janeiro.
Maracanã Stadium - Opened in 1950, the Maracanã is the largest stadium in the world and the second largest in the Americas with a capacity for 94.751 people. In addition, the "Maraca" already had the icons of the music like Madonna, the Rolling Stones, Tina Turner, Sting and Paul McCarthney among others.
Sambodrome-It was designed by the renowned architect Oscar Niemeyer and the structure is officially named "Passarela do Samba Darcy Ribeiro", and it is the permanent home of the Samba Parade. Known as well as "Marques de Sapucaí", it was inaugurated in 1984 and has a capacity for 88,500 people. This huge avenue is where the biggest carnival party in the world happens, attracting more and more tourists to Rio de Janeiro.
San Sebastian Cathedral- Also known as "Metropolitan" Cathedral, this Catholic church with modern architecture, was inaugurated in 1979 and was designed by the architect Edgar de Oliveira da Fonseca. Its construction is distinguished by its conical shape and its beautiful stained-glass windows.
Sugaloaf - They are actually two mountains named Sugarloaf and Morro da Urca, the first one is the highest with 396 meters high. Sugarloaf is located in one of the most beautiful neighborhoods of Rio de Janeiro, between Urca and Botafogo beaches. You will find a privileged view on the top of the Sugarloaf hill, that is known across the world as one of the most beautiful natural landscapes. The transportation between the hills is made by a cable car, which has a capacity for 65 passengers and the displacement between one hill and another is 1400 meters.
